Work Location: Cypress Bank, SSB at 120 S. Greer Blvd. Pittsburg, TX 75686.

Responsibilities

• Interview consumer loan applicants and order credit reports; request specified information for loan application.
• Interview commercial loan applicants and order credit reports; request specified information for loan application.
• Interview mortgage loan applicants and order credit reports; request specified information for loan application.
• Perform and understand mortgage and commercial underwriting.
• Notify applicants of loan decisions; correspond with customers, applicants and/or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
• Recommend and outline loan terms; inform prospective borrowers of loan commitments.
• Develop and maintain interest rate structure that is consistent with financial institution policies and is competitive with current market.
• Review developing laws and regulations as they apply to installment loan security agreements.
• Manage delinquent loan account files for the financial institution.
• Complete property/collateral outside inspection as required.
• Maintain working knowledge and annual training on Bank Secrecy Act.
• Recognize and report suspicious activity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related area.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a financial institution or loan setting.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
• Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
• Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
• Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
• Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency.
• Specific vision abilities required: close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bilingual Preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient at writing and presenting credit memorandums.
• Good understanding and knowledge of financial institutions' products and services.
• Excellent cross-selling, management and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Knowledge of responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act through initial and periodic training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
