Senior Loan Officer

About the role

If hired, you will focus on DSCR originations. You will be the front line, working with investors, brokers, property managers, realtors, and other sources. You must be self-motivated and entrepreneurial. BFI is a direct lender with access to a balance sheet that is low cost and flexible. Our balance sheet provides a meaningful competitive advantage. Your originations will be retained on balance sheet through maturity or aggregated on balance sheet for eventual bulk sales.

Responsibilities

• Focus on DSCR originations
• Work with investors, brokers, property managers, realtors, and other sources as the front line
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date information in the HubSpot CRM
• Meet minimum origination targets
• Avoid meaningful client or loan buyer issues

Qualifications

• Experience in DSCR originations is required
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset
• Must be able to work in-person at the Nashville, TN coworking facility (remote work is not offered)
• Ability to spend 2-3 weeks working out of the Sioux Falls, SD main office within the first 3 months of employment, and thereafter make an annual trip to Sioux Falls
• Ongoing performance is required to maintain employment, including meeting minimum origination targets, avoiding meaningful client or loan buyer issues, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date information in the HubSpot CRM

Compensation

• Performance-based compensation with potential for substantial bonus compensation
• Bonus is success-based and tied to profitability consistent with a well-defined employment agreement
