Responsibilities
- Work closely with our Bankers, Loan Processors, Underwriters, and Post Closers to ensure a timely and accurate experience for our customers.
- Ensure all pre-close file documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and closing dates are met.
- Ensure processes align with the bank’s guidelines, risk appetite, policies, standards, and consumer laws and regulation requirements while providing sound judgment.
- Craft detailed communication that clearly presents rationale, assessment, and evaluation results.
- Work closely with Bankers, Loan Processors, Disclosure Team, Underwriters, Closers, Post Closers, Group Portfolio Managers, and Senior Management to ensure seamless loan/line closing activities.
- Stay updated on market conditions, industry regulations, investor guidelines, and consumer lending laws to maintain compliance and adapt to evolving enhancements.
- Complete at least five community outreach volunteer hours annually, contributing to the bank’s commitment to community development.
Requirements
- Experience in lending with a focus on portfolio real estate secured and other consumer lending products including grant programs.
- Strong expertise in working with high-net-worth clients as well as closing agents across the US footprint.
- Review and analyze title settlement statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Examine pre-disclosure documents for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to lending guidelines.
- Validate all terms and fees disclosed to borrowers.
- Assess title commitment documents to confirm clear title and identify any exceptions or requirements needing resolution prior to closing.
- Oversee the funding process, validating wire instructions, approval of fees, and disbursement accuracy.
- Thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, effectively managing multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Excel at verbal and written communication, clearly presenting information to stakeholders, including assisting with procedural/job aid updates, and presentation materials for training.
- Demonstrate experience in industry tools such as Encompass, MeridianLink Consumer, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) products, and FIS/IBS.
- Have a strong understanding of federal and state lending regulations, ensuring compliance with consumer protection laws.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years retail lending experience with focus on portfolio real estate secured and other consumer lending products including grant programs.
- Detail-oriented and organized, thriving in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong written communication skills, crafting detailed communication that clearly presents rationale, assessment, and evaluation results.
- Collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, working closely with Bankers, Loan Processors, Disclosure Team, Underwriting Team, Post-Closing Team, Group Portfolio Managers, and Senior Management to ensure seamless loan/line closing activities.
- Market awareness and compliance, staying updated on market conditions, industry regulations, investor guidelines, and consumer lending laws to maintain compliance and adapt to evolving enhancements.
- Community involvement, completing at least five community outreach volunteer hours annually, contributing to the bank’s commitment to community development.

Benefits
Subject to plan and program terms and conditions. CIBC offers a competitive total rewards package, including a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
