Senior Living Universal Worker

About the role

Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga is currently seeking a Universal Worker to support residents within the community.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all in-house plumbing as needed.
• Perform minor electrical work within units and in common areas.
• Complete all work orders in a timely manner, noting additional work needed.
• Document safety issues and physical plan deficiencies.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with preventative maintenance and cleaning of community vehicles.
• Train and develop safety procedures and hazard communications.
• Respond immediately and appropriately to accidents and emergencies.
• Paint common areas and vacant apartments.
• Routine and deep cleaning of common areas and offices.
• Wash, dry, fold, and return community and resident laundry.
• Stock supplies in common areas, restrooms, laundry carts, etc.
• Washes interior windows and fixtures.
• Support tasks such as delivering papers, answering phones, collecting new employee and resident information, making copies, filing, creating brochures, stocking office supplies, and assisting with mailings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of housekeeping experience in a similar environment preferred.

Pay

Actual pay rate within stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws.

Schedule

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
