Job Summary: Come join our team as a part-time, Days Med Aide 1 (we are willing to train) at Valley View Manor, an assisted living facility in Velva!
Job Responsibilities
- Assists in caring for the physical and psychological needs of the residents which includes basic health care needs and activities of daily living.
- Obtains and records vital signs.
- Provides support and personal care.
- Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
- Performs light housekeeping, laundry, and meal service duties.
- Encourages residents to participate in tours and wellness or recreational programs.
- Observes residents, provides or assists with documentation.
- Responds promptly and appropriately to residents.
- Demonstrates safe and proper techniques for chemical use, and follows SDS guidelines for any exposure.
- Adheres to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Qualifications
- A high school education or higher education is not required to be hired into this job.
- Applicants that are 14 & 15 years of age are encouraged to apply.
- Basic ability to communicate and comprehend.
