Senior Living Transport Driver (no CDL Required)

About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to assist residents in their transportation needs by driving passenger buses to and from activities and destinations ensuring the safety of all passengers.

Responsibilities

• Drives daily and weekly route schedules as well as special requests.
• Aid residents with loading and unloading the bus (operate lift, carry residents' belongings, open and close walkers and wheelchairs, carry oxygen tanks and follow basic instructions and precautions in their use).
• Conduct periodic checks of bus operation including fuel, oil, wipers, fluids, lights, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness of bus insuring interior and exterior are clean, vacuumed, and free of garbage.
• Maintain logs and records pertaining to vehicle service.
• When no transportation is needed, assist in the Activities Department.

Requirements

• Driver in good standing and able to pass a background check with an insurance provider.
• At least 1 year of experience driving a bus.
• Prior experience working with seniors is preferred.
