The Senior Living Services Consulting Intern gains industry insights and financial acumen to harness data from a wide variety of national, publicly available sources, helping providers meet compliance obligations and identify opportunities. This internship is ideal for candidates with an interest in healthcare who want to apply their accounting and financial skills within the specialized senior living industry.
Responsibilities
- Exposure to a variety of clients and engagements
- Assist with preparing cost reports for Medicare and Medicaid
- Assist with analyzing financial transactions
- Network with peers and team members at all levels
- Participate in team building exercises and community outreach activities
- Participate in continuous learning and leadership development workshops
- Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for efficiencies

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Desire to pursue the CPA designation and a career in professional services/public accounting
- Strong technical skills with the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Essential Functions
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as an adding machine, copy machine, and computer printer
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external team members/vendors as needed
- Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed
- Ability to travel to other office locations as needed; overnight travel may be required
