Senior Litigation Paralegal
Position Overview
The Senior Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and case management. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical litigation skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working within a large law firm setting.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of six (6) years of paralegal experience within a litigation practice area
High School Diploma or GED required
Big Law experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated career progression, stability, and tenure are highly valued
Bluebooking experience required
Cite-checking experience required
E-filing experience required
Conflicts experience required
Trial experience preferred
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local court procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
Responsibilities
Draft pleadings and assist attorneys with motions, filings, and litigation-related submissions
Bluebooking, cite-checking, fact-checking, and legal research
Coordinate discovery efforts, document productions, and litigation databases
Manage electronic filings in federal and state courts
Assist with depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials
Prepare exhibits, binders, subpoenas, privilege logs, and production logs
Support attorneys throughout all phases of the litigation lifecycle
Compensation & Schedule
Compensation: $56.08–$74.31 per hour
Equivalent Annualized Compensation: Approximately $109,356–$144,904 based upon a 37.5-hour workweek
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Hybrid | 2–3 days per week in-office in New York
Billable Requirement: 1,600 annual billable hours
Candidate Profile
Minimum of six (6) years of litigation paralegal experience within a specific practice area of law
Demonstrated career progression, tenure, and stability
Bluebooking and cite-checking experience required
Electronic filing experience required
Conflicts experience required
Experience supporting all phases of litigation, including trial preparation, strongly preferred
Prior experience within a large law firm environment preferred
