Responsibilities
- Litigation Support
- Aid attorneys with all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation investigation, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities
- Draft and manage legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests, and correspondence
- Cook up and manage case-related communications
- Case Management
- Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines across multiple matters
- Track and organize evidence, exhibits, and document productions
- Support e-discovery processes, including document review and production
- Regulatory & Compliance Matters
- Assist with responses to regulatory inquiries, subpoenas, and enforcement actions
- Conduct legal and regulatory research related to cryptocurrency, financial services, and money transmission laws
- Help maintain records related to compliance investigations and disputes
- Internal Collaboration
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to gather information relevant to legal matters
- Aid in internal investigations and fact-finding efforts
- Support the development of internal policies and procedures related to litigation risk
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Manage legal billing, vendor coordination, and document management systems
- Prepare reports and summaries for internal stakeholders
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
- 10+ years of litigation paralegal experience (in-house or law firm)
- Experience with e-discovery tools and document management systems
- Familiarity with regulatory or financial services litigation is strongly preferred
- Experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, or highly regulated industries is a plus
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and compliance teams
- Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchains
- General passion and knowledge of fintech and cryptocurrency
