Senior Litigation & Employment Counsel

About the role

This highly respected law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation & Employment Counsel to join their top-notch litigation team. This role is for you if you’re comfortable owning litigation from start to finish – developing strategy, managing discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and representing clients in hearings, trials, and mediations. You’ll also be managing trial prep (including jury instructions and briefs), post-trial motions, and appellate work. Aside from litigation, you’ll advise clients on employment matters, guiding them through challenging and complex situations.

Responsibilities

• Developing litigation strategy and managing discovery
• Drafting pleadings and motions
• Representing clients in hearings, trials, and mediations
• Managing trial prep including jury instructions and briefs
• Filing and arguing post-trial motions
• Handling appellate work
• Advising clients on employment matters

Requirements

• 10+ years of litigation experience
• Partial book of business
• Oregon State Bar membership
• JD degree

Qualifications

• Comfortable working independently
• Ability to quickly assess and make sound decisions
• Effective communication skills
• Experience with billable hour requirements and bonuses

Pay

$120K-$160K DOE + generous bonus potential
