Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and regulatory agencies.
  • Negotiate settlements and provide strategic legal counsel throughout the litigation process.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas on complex legal matters.
  • Continue developing and expanding an existing client base while contributing to the firm's continued growth.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of civil litigation experience.
  • Portable book of business of approximately $200,000 or more.
  • Strong courtroom presence and experience handling matters independently.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a thriving litigation practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining an independent practice.
