RemoteRemoteMarketing$250/hrFull-time

What You’ll Do

  • Retain Program Strategy + Execution
    • Set the strategy for Little Spoon's automated retention programs across email, SMS, push, and in-app, from the brief through to post-launch optimization
    • Own programs end-to-end with no gaps: ideation, briefing, segmentation, Braze build, QA, launch, post-launch monitoring, and readout
    • Drive a rigorous test-and-learn agenda tied to company-level retention metrics (order rate, skip behavior, churn, LTV)
    • Be the person others consult on what's happening in the retention journey, fluent enough in every active program to answer questions on setup, audience, logic, and performance on the spot
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Serve as the lifecycle retention voice in cross-functional work streams, proactively shaping conversations, not waiting to be invited in
    • Manage lifecycle timelines and blockers transparently: surface delays, scope changes, and open questions to pod leads and leadership before they become problems
    • Bridge the off-site and in-account experience, ensuring lifecycle communications and what customers find in their account are coherent, connected, and inform each other
    • Partner closely with Data + Analytics to design rigorous experiments with proper measurement (holdouts, success criteria, incrementally read-outs)
    • Work with creative and copy partners to deliver high-quality lifecycle communications that optimize for performance

Program Scope

  • Own retention automation strategy and execution including: post-checkout retention journeys, skip and unskip programs, category upsell and cross-sell, product launch lifecycle support, and loyalty program lifecycle
  • Lead strategy for emerging channels and programs as the business evolves (app push, loyalty, membership)
  • Monitor and analyze performance on an ongoing basis, translating data into clear strategic recommendations

What You’ll Bring

  • You are the expert in the room and you act like it, You bring your retention POV vocally to cross-functional meetings without being asked
  • You independently drive projects from kickoff to post-launch readout and you surface blockers, communicate scope changes, and close loops
  • You make decisions with confidence and communicate them clearly, course-correcting based on data
  • You know the details of every program you own, how it's set up, what it sends, who receives it, and how it's performing
  • You have a strong experimentation instinct paired with rigorous measurement discipline - you design tests to learn, not just to ship
  • You are organized and systems-oriented, with a disciplined approach to tracking in-flight work and surfacing what needs to move
  • You are a positive, collaborative presence - you bring energy and warmth to the work while holding a high bar for quality and execution
  • You are obsessed with and deeply understand the Little Spoon customer experience and use that knowledge to consistently elevate both lifecycle strategy and cross-functional decision-making
  • You actively leverage AI tools to elevate the quality and speed of your work, using them to enhance personalization, accelerate post-launch analysis, and find efficiencies in how programs are built and optimized

What You’ll Need

  • 6+ years of lifecycle marketing experience with a clear focus on retention
  • Hands-on experience building and optimizing automated journeys in Braze (or comparable platform like Iterable or Klaviyo)
  • Proven track record driving measurable retention improvements through experimentation and program optimization
  • Deep knowledge of segmentation logic, audience strategy, and lifecycle measurement — including experiment design with proper holdouts and incrementality analysis
  • Experience working cross-functionally with data, product, creative, and care teams
  • DTC subscription experience strongly preferred
