Senior Licensing Analyst
Job Summary
The Senior Licensing Analyst supports the administration of business, contractor, and specialty licensing across North America to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role is responsible for executing end-to-end licensing activities, supporting licensing qualifiers, and conducting regulatory research to assess licensing requirements for new and ongoing business operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage business registrations, contractor licenses, and local licenses, including new applications, renewals, amendments, and responses to agency deficiencies, while maintaining accurate records and compliance tracking.
- Monitor licensing status and escalate complex, high-risk, or time-sensitive issues as appropriate.
- Support licensing qualifiers by tracking qualification status, coordinating required updates, and maintaining complete and accurate qualifier records.
- Compile, review, and maintain required supporting documentation, including insurance certificates, bonds, affidavits, personal disclosures, and notarized forms.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies, third-party service providers, and internal stakeholders to support licensing activities and resolve issues efficiently.
- Support licensing actions related to mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, entity formations, dissolutions, and name changes.
- Conduct detailed regulatory research on state and local business and contractor licensing requirements; interpret regulations and identify potential compliance risks.
- Assess licensing requirements for new projects, entities, and jurisdictions; document research findings and provide clear licensing determinations and recommendations.
- Contribute to licensing process improvements, tracking tools, and documentation standards to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business licensing, contractor licensing, regulatory compliance, or a related regulatory support role.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting multi-state or multi-jurisdictional licensing processes.
- Proven experience managing multiple applications, deadlines, and jurisdictions simultaneously.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills for tracking and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in contractor licensing, business compliance, or regulatory administration.
- 3+ years of experience supporting licensing activities related to mergers, acquisitions, or corporate reorganizations.
- Experience working with third-party licensing vendors or licensing management systems.
- Familiarity with qualifier/Responsible Managing Officer (RMO/RME) requirements.
- Experience conducting regulatory research across multiple U.S. states, counties, and municipalities.
- Background in highly regulated industries such as construction, energy, engineering, or professional services.

Additional Information
- Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary.
