Senior Licensed Commercial Service Electrician

About the role

InPwr, Inc. is seeking experienced Senior Field Service Electricians to join our dynamic team. We are an award-winning electrical design-build firm with offices in multiple locations across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical theory.
• Able to adapt to various working environments and make decisions based on industry best practices.
• Understand materials specific to various work environments for sight-specific installations.
• Proficient skills in reading project drawings, submittals, and layout.
• Develop, build, and maintain exceptional customer relationships through dedication, efficiency, and determination.
• Assist InPwr Inc. management and customers with design changes to the original scope of work.
• Estimate field change order work and track and document change order and time & material work.
• Maintain up-to-date as-built drawings and assist CAD department with design changes.
• Operate equipment such as trenchers, backhoes, lift, and various power tools.
• Utilize construction site sanitary facilities and work from all types of ladders.
• Make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of buildings.
• Secure tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
• Communicate effectively while performing the duties of this job.

Requirements

• At least 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Active Journeyman Electrician License.
• Sound experience in Commercial Service/Maintenance.
• BAS experience strongly preferred.
• Flexible to be able to work customer-directed schedule when needed.
• Strong safety record.
• Detail and goal-oriented.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with electrical systems from 120/240 single phase through 480v three phase.
• Data, fire alarm and control familiarity are a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a willingness to adapt to any situation.
• Familiarity with technology and a willingness to learn and adapt to various ways of communicating with the customer.
• Positive and "Can Do!" attitude, self-motivated, strong work ethic, and team player.

Skills

• Positively identify color of wires.
• Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics.
• Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.
• Use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
• Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoe, lift in a safe manner.
• Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmission.
• Reads and interprets maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.
• Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electrical or gas powered).
• Work on energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in Health and Safety Program.
