Senior-Level Civil/Environmental Engineer

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm specializing in the planning, design, and construction of water, stormwater, and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to support growth in our Great Lakes Area. Responsibilities
- Design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of small to medium sizes
- Responsible for budget, schedule, and quality standards
- Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments
- Acts independently on technical matters pertaining to the civil/environmental engineering field
- Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create or refine equipment, materials, processes, or methods
- Assists in proposal preparation and interviews and may participate in contract negotiations with clients after selection
- Develops relationships with existing clients and maintains client relationships at the staff level on existing projects
- Works closely with subconsultants on projects
- Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions
- Travel required when requested
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
- 10-15 years of wastewater design experience in environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis on hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design
- Registration as a Professional Engineer
- Demonstrated experience managing and designing medium-sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards
- Experience designing wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
- Deliver high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints
- Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
