About the role

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within an operationally complex logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely legal counsel to various business units
• Advise and negotiate contracts with vendors and customers
• Offer strategic guidance on M&A and related due diligence
• Manage legal issues related to plant operations and logistics
• Anticipate and mitigate legal risks proactively
• Lead litigation strategy and manage disputes
• Support strategic operational initiatives through legal insights

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. or Canadian jurisdiction
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited law school
• Significant in-house and law firm experience in procurement, logistics, commercial operations, and supply-chain transactions
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting abilities
• Experience supporting fast-paced environments, preferably in logistics or transportation
• Judgment and executive presence for cross-functional collaboration
• Strong analytical and legal skills in operationally complex scenarios

Pay

$130,000 – $180,000 annually
