About the role

As Senior Legal Counsel with strong commercial expertise you will play a key role in supporting Pigment’s commercial operations and strategic initiatives across North America, working closely with Legal, Sales, Revenue Operations, and other cross-functional teams. You will manage the full customer contract lifecycle across the Americas, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements with customers, partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders. In addition, you will serve as a primary point of contact for legal inquiries from internal teams, providing clear, pragmatic, and business-oriented guidance, while supporting cross-functional processes such as procurement and vendor management with a strong focus on risk assessment and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise legal, security, product and commercial teams on data protection matters in the context of SaaS contracts, customer negotiations, RFPs and calls for tenders
  • Collaborate with other business teams (Revenue Operations, Finance, Systems/IT) to maintain and develop Pigment’s contract lifecycle management systems, internal documentation, and public-facing templates
  • Deliver internal training sessions on relevant topics (e.g. contracts, privacy, data protection, marketing and compliance)
  • Contribute to legal monitoring and analysis relevant to Pigment’s activities, including developments in the commercial, privacy, AI, and cybersecurity regulatory landscapes
  • Oversee occasional litigation-related queries in coordination with internal stakeholders and outside counsel

Requirements

  • J.D. or LL.B., and in good standing with a relevant Bar Association
  • 5 years of experience in a top-tier/tech law firm and/or as an in-house lawyer in a fast-growing tech company – ideally a SaaS start-up/scale up – negotiating complex commercial Enterprise agreements
  • Working knowledge of data protection and privacy laws (EU and US)
  • Admitted to practice in the U.S.

  • Able to lead and manage numerous deals and meet tight deadlines when necessary to achieve business objectives
  • Strong oral and written communicator with a good sense of diplomacy
  • Self-starter with well-honed organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Team-player with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a global, cross-functional setting
