Senior Legal Counsel
About the role
Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with at least five years of commercial contracting experience for a hybrid (2–3 days per week onsite) position based in Boston, MA; Nashville, TN; Raleigh, NC; Houston, TX or Chicago, IL. This role involves acting as a strategic partner to various business units, providing legal oversight and leading the negotiation of complex equipment, software, and service agreements.
Responsibilities
Lead the drafting, analysis, and negotiation of complex sales, software, and service agreements of varying scope and complexity.
Serve as a dedicated business counsel, providing actionable legal advice to internal stakeholders to support product offerings and customer projects.
Provide proactive "pre-dispute" guidance to mitigate risk and resolve customer conflicts early in the process.
Drive thought leadership by developing best-in-class contracting templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks.
Ensure business activities, policies, and transactions align with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Develop and deliver legal training programs to internal business clients to enhance their commercial fluency.
Qualifications
A J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active Bar admission in at least one state.
Proven Experience: 5+ years directly handling, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial equipment and service agreements.
Proven Experience on high value contracts in the Data Center or EPC space preferred.
In-house experience is a plus; high-level law firm experience will be considered.

Pay
The expected pay range for this position is USD 142,400 - USD 213,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.
