Senior Legal Assistant - Contract Law
Make a difference as a Senior Legal Assistant by providing support, performing legal and business research, and assisting attorneys in the Legal Department. Responsibilities
- Provide corporate legal support to resolve complex contract and transactional matters by organizing, reviewing, and preparing documents and maintaining relevant files.
- Review, draft, negotiate, and revise various contracts, including commercial sales, licensing, confidentiality, supply chain, professional services, and amendments, ensuring accuracy, compliance with legal and company standards, and flagging potential risks.
- Research and summarize contractual terms and conditions, statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, executive orders, and legal codes.
- Identify and discuss risks and advise company personnel on actions to address and mitigate such risks.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings.
- Handle and organize confidential and/or sensitive company information.
- Interact with internal and external customers to resolve routine legal issues.
Requirements
- Minimum two-year degree and paralegal certificate.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in contract law support.
- Four-year degree in Business, English, or Pre-Law preferred.
- 5+ years of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of legal concepts, corporate, and employment law.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and use of technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively and professionally with diverse internal and external customers.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize work independently.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, standard business hours, in office.
Pay
The expected base salary for this position starts at $61,000 annually, depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible based on specific and relevant business metrics.
