About the Role

Humana’s Center of Excellence Curriculum Team is seeking a Senior Learning Design Professional experienced in adult learning to support the Provider Contact Center. In this role, you will use instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to determine appropriate learning solutions for new processes or systems, or to address knowledge or performance gaps.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop learning solutions for both new hires and existing associates to support role-based organizational needs.
  • Conduct needs analysis and use findings to develop targeted learning solutions for specific audiences.
  • Use a disciplined instructional design approach to create meaningful, memorable learning experiences.
  • Write effective learning objectives and performance assessments to measure training effectiveness, including evaluating learners' satisfaction, proficiency, and performance improvement.
  • Select appropriate learning activities and methods to achieve objectives and build them into a meaningful sequence.
  • Choose appropriate media for delivery (instructor-led training, e-learning, virtual, blended learning, etc.) to ensure learning needs are met efficiently.
  • Develop storyboards, instructor-led content, and eLearning.
  • Create high-quality, creative, engaging, and instructionally sound solutions that accurately convey learning concepts.
  • Identify and validate content for learning materials based on input from operational business partners, such as subject matter experts or key performers.
  • Collaborate with other departments, project managers, and peers.
  • Evaluate the success of learning solutions in terms of learning outcomes, performance change, and business impact; identify trends and patterns in data.
  • Prepare facilitator support materials (e.g., PowerPoint slides, leader/facilitator guides, learning activities, evaluation tools) and collaborate to ensure effective delivery.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to facilitators, including facilitating Train the Trainer sessions when needed.
  • Maintain curriculum content and agendas to ensure they remain current, valid, and relevant.
  • Establish learning development timelines and milestones, and communicate progress regularly.
  • Respond timely and accurately to curriculum/content feedback.
  • Adhere to design standards and meet quality standards and deadlines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of learning design experience with adult learners.
  • 3+ years of experience developing learning programs, including instructor-led curriculum and eLearning solutions.
  • 2+ years of working experience and technical skills in Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise).
  • Progressive business experience with a focus on eLearning strategies and adult learning theories.
  • Excellent writing, grammatical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and organizational skills with the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment with changing processes and multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Learning and Performance, Education, Communications, Performance Consulting, Industrial/Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a consumer-facing role.
  • Experience in Medicaid/Medicare/Provider business lines, contact center, healthcare, or insurance settings.
  • Experience with contact center learning and development for a Fortune 100 organization.
  • Project management experience and/or PMP certification.
  • Facilitation experience.
  • Experience developing and managing courses in a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Prior experience measuring learning solutions and tying them to performance.

Schedule

  • Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
  • This role is 100% remote but may require occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings.
  • Must operate on Eastern Standard Time business hours.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $71,100 - $97,800 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
