Senior Lead Product Manager - AI Journey
About This Role
AI Journey is one of Gorgias's most strategic bets — and it's still early. We're looking for a product leader who will own it the way a founder owns a company: define the product, find product-market fit on a net-new build, and drive relentlessly toward it. This is not a feature-execution or roadmap-maintenance role. The path is unmapped. You'll define the plan, build it, and prove it works in the market — with deep ownership, high expectations, and real speed.
What is AI Journey?
AI Journey is our autonomous lifecycle marketing agent. Today, lifecycle marketing means a human stitching together flows, segments, and templates across disconnected tools. We believe an autonomous agent changes that entirely — reinventing how ecommerce brands grow, moving from generic, one-way blasts to personalized, two-way conversations that create better experiences for buyers and measurable results for merchants.
What You'll Do
- Own AI Journey end to end — vision, execution, and cross-functional alignment.
- Find product-market fit. Talk to customers constantly, validate hypotheses, and iterate fast on real signal.
- Build, not just spec. Work directly in the codebase (AI-assisted is expected), run your own experiments, and get real product in front of real users.
- Drive go-to-market. Own the business judgment behind where the product wins first and how it scales from zero to one to ten.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Success.
Who you are
- A founder-style builder. You're unfazed by ambiguity, you move before the brief is complete, and you treat the product as your own company. You don't have to have founded a company — very early startup operators and people who've run internal skunkworks fit this too.
- High agency. You generate ideas and direction rather than waiting to be told.
- Resilient. You absorb setbacks and keep shipping.
- High energy, fast-thinking, open-minded, and default-yes — you open to possibility before finding the reason something can't work.
What you'll need
- Zero-to-one growth. You've personally taken a product or feature from zero to millions in revenue, and you can walk through the real go-to-market and product-market-fit decisions that got it there — not a textbook version.
- Technical credibility. You're comfortable opening pull requests and working in the codebase with AI assistance, and you've shipped something real to production. We're not looking for an ML/AI expert — we're looking for someone who builds. A polished prototype that never reached real users isn't the bar; something that shipped is.
Nice to have
- Experience with DTC, ecommerce, marketing automation, or AI-driven marketing tools.
- Hands-on involvement in early-stage product development.
- Technical curiosity around LLMs, agents, and prompt workflows.
