Senior Lead DevOps Engineer – Jenkins
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implement a unified enterprise pipeline framework leveraging Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, or other relevant tools.
- Build a scalable Jenkins platform that can handle multiple concurrent jobs and service all IT teams.
- Assess emerging CI/CD technologies, recommend improvements, and drive tool adoption across teams.
- Lead a team of developers and devops engineers to build a robust Jenkins platform.
- Define deliverables and timelines and be responsible for ensuring these are met on time.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, align on strategy, and champion DevOps culture.
- Pipeline administration and ensure all teams utilize Infrastructure as Code to effect change and that the environment features the required controls and audit components to validate resource compliance.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching for all staff and foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, innovation and collaboration.
- Define and implement all operational components required to proactively monitor and manage the production environment, identify operational issues and maintain efficient operations.
- Lead team through all service disruptions to ensure services are restored; drive root cause analysis and remediation initiatives post any service disruption.
- Define and enforce governance, security, and compliance standards across the pipeline ecosystem.
- Identify bottlenecks, propose optimizations, and push for end-to-end automation in the deployment process.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, and other CI/CD tools.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or equivalent cloud/DevOps tech is a plus.
- Solid coding skills (e.g., Python, Node.js) and a solid grasp of version control (Git).
- 3+ years of experience in leading and managing a team and accountable for deliverables.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud providers.
- Strong understanding of IaC principles.
- Experience of Automating Infrastructure deployment.
- Experience in Software-Defined-Networks, Software-Defined-Data-Centers, Virtual Private Clouds and other core network technology.
- Experienced with DevOps & ITIL.
- Proactive, enthusiastic and ambitious.
- Good team worker with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
