Senior Laser Systems Subject Matter Expert with Security Clearance

Position Overview

Provide technical leadership supporting airborne laser-based countermeasure, sensing, targeting, and directed energy initiatives supporting PMA-272. Provide targeted research and R&D expertise for various efforts involving aviation, engineering support, weapons systems, and program management support. Must be independent and able to conduct in-depth research and development.

Responsibilities

• Support laser system development, integration, testing, and fielding.
• Analyze laser performance and operational effectiveness.
• Support acquisition documentation and engineering assessments.
• Cook up with government laboratories, test organizations, and OEMs.
• Provide subject matter expertise during technical reviews and program planning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, or related field.
• 10+ years supporting laser systems, directed energy, EO/IR, or advanced weapon systems.
• Military aviation or DoD acquisition experience highly desirable.
