You are a motivated and detail-oriented landscape design professional with strong leadership, project management, and client relationship skills to oversee projects from concept through completion. The Senior Landscape Architect will meet with clients, conduct field investigations and site analyses, develop conceptual, preliminary, and final designs, renderings, and construction drawings, and perform contract administration for both residential and commercial projects. This role will also provide onsite management of construction and installation crews while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in alignment with client expectations and company standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, effectively manages multiple projects, deadlines, budgets, and field operations, and communicates professionally with clients, contractors, and team members. A strong eye for design, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering visually outstanding outdoor environments that enhance the guest and member experience are essential for success in this role. Reporting to the Director of Landscape, you are responsible for leading all aspects of landscape design, project development, and construction management for both residential and commercial projects, beginning with initial client consultations through project completion and ongoing client satisfaction. Responsibilities include identifying and developing new business opportunities through networking, referrals, presentations, and marketing efforts; meeting with prospective clients to assess project goals and specifications; conducting site evaluations; preparing conceptual and final landscape designs, renderings, estimates, scopes of work, and construction documents; and presenting design solutions in a professional and engaging manner. The role oversees financial performance by managing project budgets, revenue, payroll, cost of goods, and controllable expenses while maintaining cost controls to achieve projected goals. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with regulatory agencies for project approvals, managing contracts, supervising onsite construction and installation activities, directing subcontractors and crews, inspecting work quality and material standards, and partnering with installation and maintenance teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in alignment with guest and member expectations and company standards. You are a gracious ambassador for Sea Island with every interaction. You set the tone with your strong ethics and by consistently upholding and ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, and appearance. You follow and ensure all Sea Island safety protocols are consistently met. You maintain situational awareness of your surroundings, keeping an eye on all areas for tidiness and any general maintenance issues, ensuring that all are corrected or reported immediately. You are proactive in helping when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested. You form effective relationships and work closely with other departments to maintain rapport and foster open communication.
