Senior Landfill Project Manager

About the role

At Verdantas, you will lead with impact, drive excellence, mentor and inspire, and innovate solutions in landfill design, permitting, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Champion a safety-first culture and guide multidisciplinary teams on complex, high-profile projects.
• Shape project strategies, budgets, and deliverables ensuring top-tier quality and client satisfaction.
• Empower talented professionals and foster a culture of learning and development.
• Cultivate lasting partnerships with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Tackle technical challenges in landfill design, permitting, and construction with creativity and expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (advanced degrees a plus)
• 10+ years of experience in civil and waste management projects
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio
• Proven success managing large-scale projects, site development, permitting, and QA/QC
• Deep expertise in landfill and waste management engineering
• Strong knowledge of RCRA, Subtitle C & D regulations

Qualifications

• Preferred Location: Toledo, Ohio or any of our Ohio offices (flexible for the right candidate)
• Salary Range: The starting salary for this position is $125,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications, experience, and licensing status.
