Senior Lab Technician

Responsibilities
- Configuring, operating, and maintaining processes and equipment incorporating web mechanics, coating and/or printing, drying, curing, analysis and characterization.
- Conducting designed experiments to support lead researchers that must develop a thorough understanding of how materials and process parameters affect final product properties.
- Working independently and with multidisciplinary team members.
- Making recommendations with respect to material formulation and/or process modifications.
Requirements
- A high school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
- Two (2) years of technician experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Qualifications
- An associate degree or two-year technical degree from an accredited institution.
- Four (4) or more years of laboratory experience conducting product performance testing.
- Experience testing adhesives, tapes, laminates, or other coated materials.
- Familiarity with adhesive and tape test methods such as peel, tack, shear, tensile, or environmental aging evaluations.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, initiative, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Skills
- High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
- Two (2) years of technician experience.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.

The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $75,064 - $91,745, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
Schedule
This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
