Senior Java Script Developer -- Austin, TX (Onsite)

Location: Austin, TX 78738 (Onsite)

Duration: 9 months contract

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced JavaScript developer to develop and maintain our internal BI system. This role will focus on deep understanding of JavaScript, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS3, with special attention of developing single-page applications in the SAP HANA/XSA framework. This role also requires experience with d3.js and jQuery.js to develop and maintain visualizations used in our dashboards. Experience with SQL, SAP HANA, BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc. is also helpful.

Responsibilities

• Write, modify, and debug web applications using JavaScript, NodeJS, HTML5, and CSS3
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Understand browser rendering behavior and performance
• Prototype new ideas, concepts, and designs rapidly

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science
• Knowledge of client-side single-page applications that use a modern framework
• Strong understanding of JavaScript event model, promises, ES6 concepts
• Experience in developing great visuals using d3.js
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Strong analytic and problem‑solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Prior experience with ExpressJS is highly preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal skills to effectively capture and translate business requirements/concepts across different organizational levels

Schedule

Monday through Friday; starting/ending hours are flexible but should largely overlap with the rest of the team. No overtime required.
