Responsibilities

• Lead the research and development of functional and technical specifications, production, and test environments, including architecture, design, and solution development.
• Develop comprehensive plans for proof-of-concept initiatives and validate new technologies and solutions.
• Create and maintain tools and processes for gathering detailed user requirements.
• Actively participate in strategic planning discussions with technical, business, and client stakeholders.
• Identify and address gaps in processes and services across various environments to enhance efficiency.
• Review programming and environment changes, proactively raising awareness for potential impacts.
• Utilize programming tools effectively to maximize productivity.
• Architect and develop innovative solutions aligned with the organization’s vision.
• Engage in product design and development sessions, contributing expertise.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced Programmer/Analysts.
• Develop architectural diagrams, write high-quality software code, and create automated test scripts.
• Produce clear, efficient technical documentation.
• Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical counterparts to ensure seamless communication.
• Leverage AI assistance for development tasks (e.g., code suggestions, test generation, automation scripts) while maintaining ownership of correctness and quality.
• Apply Generative AI to reduce context switching and accelerate delivery across workflows, including new code development.
• Demonstrate practical familiarity with leading AI coding tools in IDE/CLI workflows, agentic workflows, spec-driven development, and prompt engineering.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring framework, cloud development, and Web Services (REST, SOAP) supporting high-volume transactions in a highly available environment.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Generative AI coding assistants across the SDLC (implementation, refactoring, testing, code reviews, automation, troubleshooting).
• Practical familiarity with leading AI coding tools in IDE/CLI workflows.
• 2+ years of experience with ETL jobs or data pipelines and messaging frameworks.
• 1+ years of experience with continuous build processes using modern version control systems and CI/CD tools.
• 1+ years of experience with leading cloud platforms.
• 1+ years of experience working with distributed databases.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in IT transformations and system modernization, migrating from legacy to distributed platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools.
• Experience with the .NET framework and related programming tools.
• Experience with messaging queue technologies.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Experience in Test Driven Development.
