About The Role
As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Java, Spring Boot, Angular), you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable cloud-native applications that support critical business solutions. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, developers, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and modern development frameworks.
- Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot in cloud-native environments.
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and collaborate on scalable platform solutions.
- Implement event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka and MQ technologies for real-time messaging and integration.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance, scalability, reliability, and security while following software engineering best practices.
What You Need To Have To Be Considered
- 6+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Java 15+ and object-oriented programming principles.
- Strong experience building RESTful services and microservices using Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application development in cloud-native environments.
- Proven expertise with Kafka, MQ, or similar messaging technologies in event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency with Git and Agile software development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
Experience That Will Help You Stand Out
- Experience with Angular 19+, RxJS, or other modern front-end technologies.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience working within enterprise-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms.

Pay And Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until August 7th, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 and $131,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
