This role is based at our client site in Pittsburgh, PA and requires on-site presence 5 days a week.

About the role

CGI is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer with a focus on Angular to build secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful and event-driven APIs. You will work on projects for one of the largest financial institutions in the U.S., gaining exposure to advanced tools and technologies in a challenging technical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement front-end Angular user interfaces and backend API/microservices components.
  • Build user interfaces using Angular.js and Node.js (JavaScript framework).
  • Develop and unit test Java RESTful services that integrate with external client systems.
  • Analyze user requirements and define technical project scope and assumptions for assigned tasks.
  • Create technical designs for new systems and modifications to existing systems.
  • Translate detailed requirements into functional system designs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external design, business, and technical teams.
  • Research and recommend functional libraries to expedite development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6+ years of overall professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience with Java, Angular, ReactJS, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and Node.js.
  • 3+ years of experience with GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • 3+ years of experience with RESTful or SOAP web services.
  • Java/J2EE development experience with REST API, Spring Boot, OpenShift Container, Angular, XML, JSON, UML, Jenkins, and Swagger.
  • 3+ years of experience building containerized microservices and deploying container apps.
  • Experience writing unit tests for JavaScript code.
  • Experience using Agile methodologies for application development.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 – $156,700.00.
