Senior Java Developer – Capital Markets

We are seeking a highly skilled Java/J2EE Developer with extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business users and team members to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions under tight deadlines.

About the role

This role requires a strong background in Java, Spring framework, relational databases, and a solid understanding of financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Engage business users to define requirements and design tools supporting trade analytics, pooling and securitization, trade capture, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Develop applications, prototypes, and provide high-level technical consulting.
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to deliver technology solutions within tight deadlines.
  • Predict effects of configuration changes, identify application bottlenecks, and optimize performance.
  • Support issue resolution and handle ad-hoc requests for business partners within the I&CM division.

Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years of IT experience in design, development, integration, and testing of J2EE-based software solutions.
  • Proficiency in servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), and JDBC.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience with relational databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, and/or DB2.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with tools like Eclipse, GIT, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins for managing, building, and deploying code.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience designing and executing JUnit test cases using the Mockito framework.
  • Finance background with solid technical expertise in core and advanced Java, Spring framework, and relational databases.
  • Strong communication skills to bridge business and technical teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Pay

$90–$100 per hour.
