Senior Java Developer

About the role

We are building a platform that ingests securities and pricing data from multiple providers, enriches and validates it, then distributes the consolidated data to internal bank systems. Our team owns the web applications, desktop tools, REST services, and Linux environments that visualize securities and execute workflows on them. The stack includes Java 8–11, C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript with Angular, Oracle, Spring 4–5, and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Develop business and technical features for existing and new applications
• Prototype ideas; rewrite legacy components in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud over the next 1–2 years; experiment with Kotlin and Groovy
• Configure and maintain Windows and Linux environments (install agents, patch, monitor, etc.)
• Integrate components with internal and external client systems
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic)
• Monitor applications, processes, scheduled jobs; collect logs and metrics (ELK, ITRS, Autosys)
• Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity, IBM Urban Deploy, Bash)
• Automate routine tasks with scripting languages (Groovy, Bash)
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Design distributed applications (multi-server deployments, load balancing, clusters, stateless services, microservices)

Requirements

• At least 10 years of commercial experience with Java SE and Java EE
• Strong Spring knowledge (Boot, IoC, MVC, AOP, Security, Data, JDBC, Test)
• Good SQL and relational-database skills (Oracle)
• Solid understanding of Servlets, Servlet containers (Tomcat), and application servers (WebLogic)
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with TeamCity or Jenkins
• Comfortable working in Linux (navigation, file operations, permissions, users/groups, processes/services, keys/certificates, Bash scripting)
• Ability to analyze problems, propose clean solutions, and implement them collaboratively

Nice-to-have skills

• Angular (or React/Vue), Angular Material, RxJS
• HTML/CSS layout skills
• Advanced Oracle knowledge
• ELK stack experience
• Spring Cloud and microservice-architecture experience
