Senior Java Backend Engineer – Agentic AI & Spec-Driven Development

We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications, microservices, and distributed systems supporting enterprise platforms. The role focuses on building secure, high‑throughput, and reliable backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka, while incorporating modern Agentic AI and Spec‑Driven Development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable and resilient distributed systems for enterprise applications.
• Develop event‑driven architectures and asynchronous messaging solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Design RESTful APIs and backend services with emphasis on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Apply Spec‑Driven Development (SDD) practices by translating detailed technical specifications and API contracts into production‑ready implementations.
• Contribute to Agentic AI solutions, including AI‑powered workflows, intelligent agents, tool integrations, and automated decision/workflow orchestration.
• Integrate AI agents with backend services, APIs, event streams, and enterprise systems where appropriate.
• Develop reliable, maintainable, and well‑documented code following software engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, performance optimization, and production support.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver enterprise‑grade solutions.

Minimum Requirements
