Senior Java Backend Developer

About the role

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to join their team. As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will be part of the core development team supporting banking and payment systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization. Location: Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Create and update microservice-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs for payment processing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile Scrum ceremonies.
• Work on banking projects, especially domestic or international payments using CBPR+ standards (PAIN, PACS, CAMT).
• Utilize PL-SQL and RAD tools to enhance system functionalities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Core Java backend development.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot framework and microservice architecture.
• Experience with banking payment systems and standards (CBPR+).
• Knowledge of PL-SQL and RAD tools.
• Familiarity with UI development using React JS is a plus.
