Role
This is a broad technical role that combines end-user support, systems administration, and project work. The successful candidate will be comfortable resolving everyday support issues while also helping manage and improve technologies including: Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure, Networking Infrastructure, Power Automate, PowerShell Scripting, and Security & Compliance Solutions. This opportunity is ideal for an IT professional who has progressed beyond traditional desktop support and is ready to take greater ownership of systems, infrastructure, and technology improvement initiatives.
What You'll Do
As a Systems Administrator, you'll split your time between supporting end users, maintaining critical systems, improving infrastructure, and helping automate business processes.
End-User Support & IT Operations
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, authentication, connectivity, printing, Microsoft 365, and application issues
- Respond to and resolve support tickets while providing excellent customer service
- Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities
- Provide technical assistance for Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and business applications
- Collaborate with other IT team members on daily operations and escalated issues
Systems Administration & Infrastructure
- Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Entra ID
- Support Windows Server and Active Directory environments
- Manage Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, device compliance, and endpoint management
- Assist with Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Support physical and virtual server environments, including Hyper-V
- Perform patching, maintenance, monitoring, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Support backup and disaster recovery operations
- Assist with network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, switches, VLANs, wireless networks, DNS, and DHCP
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, equipment deployments, and technology projects
Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring IT and business processes
- Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows
- Create PowerShell scripts for reporting, deployments, and administration
- Assist with Azure Logic Apps, Microsoft Graph API, and integrations
- Partner with business teams to improve efficiency through technology solutions
- Maintain technical documentation and procedures
Security & Compliance
- Support endpoint and identity security initiatives
- Assist with Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, MFA, BitLocker, and Intune security policies
- Participate in vulnerability remediation and endpoint hardening efforts
- Support cybersecurity and compliance initiatives
- Monitor and respond to security and infrastructure-related issues
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Strong troubleshooting experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments
- Experience supporting business networks and network troubleshooting
- Ability and willingness to provide hands-on end-user support
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to independently research and resolve technical issues
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility
