Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of software development projects from initiation through implementation and delivery.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Cook up cross-functional teams, including software developers, QA engineers, business analysts, architects, and external vendors.
- Collaborate with clients and project sponsors to gather, validate, and document business and technical requirements.
- Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational project management methodologies, governance standards, and security requirements.
- Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Facilitate project status meetings and provide regular progress reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage project changes, scope adjustments, and schedule updates while maintaining stakeholder alignment.
- Coach and mentor junior project managers and team members on project management best practices.
- Drive continuous process improvements and promote effective project management methodologies.
- Sure successful project acceptance, deployment, and transition to production support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Geoscience, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience managing software development or IT projects.
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience working directly with clients and executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification.
- Experience with enterprise software implementations.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in large enterprise or global environments.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance, security, and compliance practices.
