Responsibilities

  • Leads project teams through planning, executing, and controlling activities that result in completing deliverables that meet the customers' requirements. Common project work includes planning for project scope, budget, schedule, resource management, risk management, performance management, and stakeholder management.

  • Serves as a leader in Information Services or respective department. Continually advances and improves project management practices. Mentors new or less experienced project managers.

  • Engages project sponsors regularly to improve project outcomes. Facilitates and presents at project meetings. Solves problems and facilitates decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: Project Management (Required)

  • PMP - Project Management Professional - Project Management Institute

  • Field of Study: Project Management

  • Years of experience: 6

Specialized Knowledge

  • Six years in a project manager role or comparable work

  • PMI-focused project management training or comparable training

  • Experience managing multiple medium to large scale IT projects simultaneously

Desired Attributes

  • Project management certification recommended (PMP, PgMP, or PfMP); otherwise, a plan for attainment OR a graduate level Degree Bachelor's Degree in IT, Healthcare, or Business Administration

  • Eight years or more of IT project management experience in a healthcare setting
