About the role
The Senior IT Project Manager oversees various system projects and/or programs of a highly complex nature. The role involves moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
- Assembles and leads project teams, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Manages stakeholder partnerships and mitigates risks.
- Familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate team activities.
- Oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects, and sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer term business value.
- Possesses specialized knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects.
- Begins to influence department’s strategy.
- Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components.
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
- Has expertise in managing highly demanding efforts and executive level leadership visibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT project management experience.
- 3+ years of experience delivering concurrent complex technical initiatives end-to-end.
- 1+ years' experience with technical product selection, design, and IT solution implementation, preferably in health, finance, or other highly regulated industries.
- Excellent communication including executive level.
- 3+ years' experience with SDLC Project Management.
- Comfortable working on projects that are not black and white and can analyze situations from a strategic lense.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration.
- Longevity working in data warehouse, decision support and reporting system environments.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Jira.
- Align executive information systems and statistical software packages.
- Comprehensive knowledge of development languages, tools, and utilities.
- Six Sigma and/or Project Management Institute certification.
- Experience in the health solutions industry.
Additional Information
This position follows a Hybrid work style (2-3 days a week in office). The candidate must live close to one of our designated IT locations: Louisville, KY; Tampa, FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Dallas/Frisco, TX; Boston, MA; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN, Chicago, IL, or Charlotte, NC. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40. Pay Range: $104,000 - $143,000 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
