Senior IT Project Manager
Position Overview
The Senior IT Project Manager will oversee the successful completion of projects, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. They will collaborate with business units and IT sponsors to define project goals and success criteria, manage project plans, and ensure clear communication among stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Define project goals, success criteria, and expectations with stakeholders
- Manage the initiative(s) successfully through all project phases within given constraints
- Effectively identify and manage change requests
- Create and manage a realistic and credible project plan
- Negotiate project deliverables, milestones, and target dates
- Establish and continuously facilitate appropriate communication amongst stakeholders and teams
- Provide regular verbal and documented status updates
- Work closely with the support team(s) to prepare for and manage the transition and warranty period
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in project management or similar field
- 5 years' experience in delivery of large-scale IT application implementation projects
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance/reinsurance, with specialty insurance experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in insurance core system implementation (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.)
- Experience managing teams consisting of both company employees and third parties
- Experience outsourcing work to outside vendors to achieve deliverables
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Structured project planning with appropriate detail
- Proven track record in delivering programs/projects on-time, on-budget, and in-scope
- Experience managing projects in a global, matrix environment
- Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies and best practices
- Experience with different SDLC methodologies including agile and waterfall
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company. The annualized base pay range for this role is $150,000 - $165,000.
