Senior IT Program Manager

About the role

This role is expected to be in the office 4 days a week. The Senior IT Program Manager will play a highly visible role at the intersection of strategy, execution, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes
• Advance enterprise portfolio management practices that improve transparency, decision-making, and business value realization
• Operationalize portfolio governance and value management frameworks
• Define success metrics, key performance indicators, and value hypotheses that connect technology investments to meaningful business outcomes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to make informed prioritization decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and align investments to strategic objectives
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, develop practical solutions to complex portfolio challenges, and foster collaboration across diverse teams
• Make a measurable impact on enterprise portfolio performance while building expertise in value realization, portfolio optimization, Lean-Agile practices, strategic planning, and organizational transformation

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT project management, portfolio operations, portfolio management, program management, or related technology delivery environments
• Experience applying Lean-Agile practices, portfolio operations frameworks, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive business outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to support portfolio governance, intake and demand management, prioritization processes, execution tracking, and operational reporting
• Experience leveraging analytics, reporting, and data-driven insights to inform decisions, measure outcomes, and improve organizational performance
• Strong Analytical Thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex information, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations
• Proven Agile Collaboration capabilities with a track record of partnering across business and technology teams to achieve shared objectives
• Strong Communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders, present recommendations, and translate complex concepts into clear business outcomes
• Experience developing, improving, or governing operational processes, standards, procedures, and reporting frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and support strategic decision-making
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence outcomes across multiple teams without direct people leadership responsibility

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise portfolio management, technology transformation, strategic planning, or value management initiatives
• Experience with enterprise portfolio management and work management platforms such as Clarity, Jira, Rally, or similar tools
• Experience supporting benefits realization frameworks, value management methodologies, or business outcome measurement programs
• Knowledge of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), portfolio prioritization frameworks, and strategic planning practices
• SAFe certification or comparable Agile portfolio management certification
• Experience developing executive dashboards, performance reporting, and portfolio insights using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and stakeholder adoption
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
