Senior IT Integration Services Engineer
Summary Of Responsibilities
- Designs, develops and documents programs, scripts, procedures, interfaces and system configuration.
- Provides technical and analytical guidance for applications and associated layered products, including vendor interactions.
- Provides application analysis and review of existing or proposed solutions, considering functionality, integration, security, scalability and performance requirements.
- Performs troubleshooting using critical thinking skills and performs root cause analysis.
- Participates in the evaluation and selection process for application packages.
- Develops an understanding of how the application of technology supports and optimizes business processes.
- Develops and executes test scripts.
- Affords assistance in the development of overall test plans for projects.
- Affords assistance in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive test suite for target applications.
- Provides input into technical standards.
- Affords assistance in system patches and upgrades.
Skills
- IT integration technologies (i.e. Oracle SOA Suite, BizTalk, BizLink, etc.).
- Conducts evaluations of technology as required in support of business initiatives.
- Supports the development of future technology direction and strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT or related Engineering field or equivalent work experience.
- Oracle SOA Suite (Version 11g and newer).
- Knowledge of integration services or middleware technologies, preferably in the steel industry.
- 10+ years of technical experience including:
- Coding, configuration and solution development.
- Specifications development.
- Applications support.
- Detailed application analysis.
- Customer interaction.
- Contingency and disaster recovery testing.
- Responds quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines in production environments.
- Demonstrated skills in organization, prioritization, time-management, and decision-making.
- Understanding of XML, XSLT, SOAP, XML Schemas and WSDL concepts.
- Knowledge of database design including the ability to write complex queries.
- Sound mastery of Microsoft Office Tools suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Visual Studio (Version 2019 and newer).
- IBM ACE, IIB
Pay
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location and business or organizational needs.
