Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain core IT infrastructure including servers, storage, databases, and network systems.
  • Evaluate and optimize in-place technologies and evaluate the latest technologies to improve security and operational excellence.
  • Ensure efficient and smooth functioning of IT systems supporting business-critical applications.
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day core Infrastructure services, including Change and Release Management.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Managed Service Providers (MSPs), internal staff, and third-party vendors.
  • Oversee the technical design, deployment, and operation of key enterprise technologies.
  • Utilize hands-on expertise to design and implement robust cloud services across multi-cloud environments.
  • Develop and implement technical standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with various teams to coordinate technology implementations and streamline processes.
  • Lead the implementation, support, and oversight of critical vendor partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Project Management with 5+ years of progressive experience as a senior infrastructure engineer, or 10+ years of progressive experience as a senior infrastructure engineer.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Enterprise Operating Systems, Directory Services, Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, Google Business Workspace, and Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing services in public and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
  • Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware or KVM) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes and Docker).
  • Proven experience managing endpoints using ManageEngine Endpoint Central and Jamf Pro or Kandji.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, including effective persuasion, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proven ability to quickly adopt new technologies and products to meet business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced or current Juniper and cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • PMP certification.
  • Knowledge and integration of enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Experience working with key technology vendors such as OpenNMS, Aruba, Juniper, Slack, Synology, ManageEngine, Zabbix, Zoom, and Veeam.
