Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a leading company in the airline industry, is seeking a Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer for a 12-month contract. This role requires 100% onsite work in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area, with occasional local travel to another data center.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, networking, power, cooling, and environmental systems using DCIM tools
• Perform rack and stack activities, cable management, hardware installations, replacements, and infrastructure upgrades
• Support infrastructure deployments, system rollouts, and data center change activities
• Coordinate with network, server, storage, and vendor teams to troubleshoot infrastructure and connectivity issues
• Monitor data center capacity, including space, power, and cooling utilization
• Create and maintain accurate rack elevations and infrastructure documentation using Sunbird DCIM
• Respond to infrastructure incidents while ensuring reliability, availability, and compliance across the data center environment

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience supporting physical data center infrastructure
• Experience with DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools
• Hands-on experience with rack & stack, structured cabling (fiber/copper), and cable management
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise server hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS, or similar)
• Experience supporting data center operations, hardware deployments, and infrastructure changes
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional technical teams and third-party vendors
• Willingness to work onsite, travel locally as needed, and support varying shifts, including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience with UPS, PDUs, and CRAC units
• Sunbird DCIM experience
• Experience working with external vendors, RMAs, and hardware support
• Airline industry experience
• Experience supporting enterprise network, storage, or server environments

Pay

The approximate pay range for this position is between $30.00 and $44.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
