About the role
Skylo Technologies is the world’s first commercial, standards-based 'direct-to-device' satellite service operator. We connect standard smartphones, wearables, and IoT devices directly to existing satellites—eliminating global coverage blind spots without requiring custom hardware. Backed by a cloud-native 3GPP Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) infrastructure, Skylo works with Tier-1 chipmakers, satellite operators, and mobile network operators (MNOs) to keep critical workflows connected globally. Responsibilities
- Own, monitor, and scale Skylo's global IT footprint across offices in the US, Finland, and India.
- Manage cloud productivity suites (Google Workspace/Enterprise) and essential SaaS tools (Slack, Jira/Confluence, GitHub, Zoom).
- Design and optimize role-based access controls (RBAC) and user lifecycle workflows via modern IAM platforms (e.g., Okta).
- Manage and secure a highly distributed, mixed-OS fleet (primarily macOS with some Windows) utilizing advanced MDM solutions (Jamf, Kandji, Intune).
- Implement and maintain robust, high-performance corporate office network infrastructure. Ensure maximum uptime and security using firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), VLANs, and enterprise Wi-Fi 6 environments.
- Partner closely with our InfoSec and Network Engineering teams to enforce rigid security frameworks. Actively maintain system compliance documentation and audit readiness for SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Proactively identify manual, repetitive workflows (such as IT onboarding or ticketing pipelines) and design automated, self-service resolutions using modern scripting languages and generative AI-driven tools.
- Act as the highest tier of engineering support for complex, cross-functional corporate IT issues, maintaining strict service level objectives (SLOs) while providing high-touch support to global staff and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of experience in an IT Systems/Infrastructure role, with a proven track record of handling mid-to-large scale tech environments.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) office productivity, Google Workspace, Okta, Jira/Confluence, Slack, Office 365 and IT Asset Management.
- 3-6 plus years in IT Service Desk / IT Technical Support with escalation handling experience.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/Wi-Fi troubleshooting), Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and VPN technologies.

Schedule
- This role is located Mountain View, CA where we prefer onsite 5 days a week in office.
