Senior IT Developer

About the role

Design, develop, and operate systems for large-scale data storage and management. Code and program IT solutions, including APIs, for moderately complex system designs. Document detailed system specifications and participate in unit testing. Ensure IT controls are implemented to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Review code from other developers and contribute to programming standards. Consult with various stakeholders to scope and estimate programming projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in technical design and coding within the IT industry
• 8 years of IT development/programming/coding experience in a Hadoop environment
• Proficiency with HBASE, Scala, and Spark development
• Experience with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Kafka, and data warehousing
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and versioning tools
