About the Role

Under general direction, gathers, analyzes, and understands business needs and system design. Leads process improvement projects and applies Six Sigma and similar methodologies and analytics to accomplish measurable business process improvements. Communicates with users, business, and IT staff to examine business processes and requests, develop complex detailed requirements, and build process flow charts for the creation of applications, systems, and enhancements. Formulates and recommends solutions and options that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and automation. Mentors and trains less experienced Business Analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Liaison between the business and IT groups during the development and implementation of new systems and enhancements to current ones.
  • Identifies business and systems processes and procedures needs.
  • Employs process improvement practices and techniques to analyze and recommend solutions that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes and procedures.
  • Facilitates requirements by organizing gathering sessions and other related events.
  • Examines and evaluates business needs/requests to describe what the processes, systems, and service must do to fulfill the request.
  • Records/updates business and functional requirements/specifications for reports, systems, or applications.
  • Conducts feasibility and economic studies to justify recommended automation or process improvement.
  • Creates measures of success in assessing the effectiveness of the proposed solution.
  • Mentors and trains other Business Analysts.
  • Develops test plans and scripts for user acceptance testing.
  • Assists in the development of PMO processes and procedures for all Business Analyst activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Advanced knowledge of different business analysis techniques required.
  • Advanced Ryder business knowledge/practices/processes preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Business, Business Process Improvement, Informatics, or Engineering.
  • Five (5) years or more of Business Analysis or Project Management experience required.
  • Five (5) years or more of experience in Systems Development and Project Management preferred.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

Pay

Pay Type: Salaried

Minimum Pay Range: $90,000.00

Maximum Pay Range: $105,000.00

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, certifications, work location, market data/ranges, and internal equity. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
