For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Senior IT Automation Engineer to join their team. This role leads work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, collaborating across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical solutions within a regulated financial services environment.

About the role

Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture of IT Tooling automations and make design decisions across multiple platforms
- Lead complex automation projects from discovery and design to production delivery as the technical primary responsible individual (DRI)
- Collaborate with Security and Corporate Engineering teams to resolve technical issues, representing IT Tooling in architectural discussions
- Develop shared frameworks and reusable components to minimize single points of failure within the IT Tooling platform
- Establish code review processes and engineering standards to enhance quality across IT Tooling
Qualifications
- 5+ years in IT engineering, automation, or systems engineering, showcasing ownership of significant architecture decisions
- Expertise in building complex automations using n8n, Airflow, Temporal, Jira Automation, or Workato with a solid understanding of Git workflows
- Knowledge of Okta, Slack API, and Google Workspace to design secure and scalable automation architectures
- Demonstrated ability to convert vague problems into clear, technical specifications and architecture records
- Experience in mentoring peers and authoring technical design documentation for varied audiences
- Proficiency in responsible AI usage for improving workflow efficiency, with an emphasis on maintaining human oversight

Pay
$113,815 – $133,900 annually
