Senior IT Analyst - Order Management

About the role

The Sr IT Analyst plays a crucial role within a cross-functional deployment & run team, focusing on deploying the designed "Global Template" to enable Building Automation (BA) to transition from current business processes and operating systems to common business processes enabled by SAP. This role also involves supporting SAP live sites through troubleshooting, training, and SAP system enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Supports SAP live sites through troubleshooting, training, and SAP system enhancements.
  • Works with BA Order Management / Customer Experience leadership team regarding SAP capability, process & ERP changes, and SAP enhancement requests for building products manufacturing, products installation, and aftermarket services.
  • Completes key deliverables such as functional site discovery and scoping documentation, business test scenarios, customer related data migration, and training users as outlined in the SAP deployment methodology.
  • Works with SAP superusers to improve their system understanding and roll-out of new SAP related enhancements and initiatives.
  • Drives best business process across BA, championing change management activities.
  • Manages relationships and communication with BA Order Management leadership team, resolving complex issues.
  • Helps with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of day-to-day issues faced by the business.
  • Involves in scoping and requirements gathering for Rapid Development and Enhancement requests, assists with testing of SAP enhancements prior to implementation.
  • Promotes standardization of IT systems and best practice process adoption where possible.
  • Represents the IT function for global projects requiring IT functional representation, driving communication and collaboration between IT and other business functions to enable smooth transitions.
  • Scopes, tests, and implements the IT OM plan as part of the larger global project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or business administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with functional implementation and support of ERP systems (preferably SAP) supporting business processes.
  • Program management skills including time management, organizational, and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage requests from multiple sites and local teams.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Experience in Six Sigma, Lean or other process-oriented techniques.
  • Innovation-driven mindset.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Passion for staying at the forefront of IT trends.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technology innovation and process improvement.
  • Strong research and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or business administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience with functional implementation and support of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
