About the role

As a Sr IT Analyst, you are part of a cross-functional deployment & run team responsible for deploying the designed “Global Template” to transition Building Automation (BA) from current business processes and operating systems to common business processes enabled by SAP. The role also includes supporting live SAP sites through troubleshooting, training, and system enhancements. The scope of the Sr IT Analyst for the Order Management function includes:

  • Customer Master Data
  • Ecommerce
  • Pricing & Discounting
  • Quotation
  • Product Configuration
  • Order Acceptance (manually, through EDI, or the Web)
  • Titan Order Management & Expediting
  • Billing
  • Returns & Warranty
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Products and Projects and Services Booking
  • On-Time to First Promise Improvement

Responsibilities

  • Team and interface with BA IT and business teams on all aspects of the Order Management function, including understanding site business requirements, performing gap analysis, assisting with process redesign, and testing to ensure successful SAP conversion.
  • Collaborate with BA Order Management / Customer Experience leadership regarding SAP capability, process & ERP changes, and SAP enhancement requests for building products manufacturing, installation, and aftermarket services.
  • Complete key deliverables such as functional site discovery and scoping documentation, business test scenarios, customer-related data migration, and user training as outlined in the SAP deployment methodology.
  • Work with SAP superusers to improve their system understanding and roll out new SAP-related enhancements and initiatives.
  • Capture, assess, and prioritize key business requirement gaps from sites in the specified region.
  • Drive best business processes across BA and champion change management activities.
  • Learn the Honeywell SAP system and ensure knowledge transfer to other users.
  • Ensure users can operate business effectively using SAP after deployment or transition.
  • Apply the Global Design Model consistently across the specified region.
  • Manage relationships and communication with BA Order Management leadership.
  • Resolve complex issues experienced by the business.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of day-to-day issues faced by the business.
  • Participate in scoping and requirements gathering for Rapid Development and Enhancement requests.
  • Support business testing of SAP enhancements prior to implementation.
  • Promote standardization of IT systems and best practice process adoption.
  • Serve as the IT representative for global projects requiring IT functional input.
  • Drive communication and collaboration between IT and other business functions to enable smooth transitions, coordinating changes to processes, inputs/outputs, and data.
  • Scope, test, and implement the IT Order Management plan as part of larger global projects.

Requirements

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or business administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with functional implementation and support of ERP systems (preferably SAP) supporting business processes.
  • Program management skills, including time management, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage requests from multiple sites and local teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a multi-cultural, global environment working with multiple business layers.
  • Collaborative skills to work with IT staff through the design and build of new business processes.
  • Ability to dive into application details and get “hands-on” with the system.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% to support project work.
