About the Role

As a Project Engineer in Transport Telecoms, you will play a critical role in the design, planning, implementation, and migration of complex telecom infrastructure projects. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for delivering best-in-class solutions in a dynamic environment.

This is a fully remote opportunity, open exclusively to candidates authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end audit strategies at logical and physical circuit levels.
  • Analyse and correlate audit data to inform infrastructure design and migration planning.
  • Produce accurate and comprehensive High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
  • Design and manage physical and logical migration strategies for network transformation projects.
  • Understand and implement access vendor tail configurations across Transport and IP.
  • Collect and analyse data from NMS, Element Managers, or directly from network devices.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues creatively and remain composed under technical pressure.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to define timelines, track milestones, and deliver to plan.
  • Maintain clear and professional documentation; communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Prioritize and manage tasks to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Learn and adapt to unfamiliar products and technologies as required by project demands.

  • Key Technology Skills:
    • Fibre (External and Internal)
    • SDH (E1 to 10GE)
    • DWDM / OTN
    • MPLS / IP (VPLS, VPNs, IPVPN, etc.)
    • Voice Technologies (SIP and Legacy)
    • Colocation and Facility Infrastructure
    • ODF/DDF Integration
    • Protection Schemes (SNCP, MSP, MSSPRING)
  • Key Product Experience:
    • Alcatel-Lucent: BWM, TDM10G, DACS, DMX
    • Ciena: 6110, 6500, 5410, 5430, Waveserver
    • Nortel: TN Series
    • Marconi: SMA Series
    • Cisco: ONS 15454
    • Huawei: ONS 3800, 6800
    • Infinera: DTN, DTNx
    • ADVA: FSP Series

What We Are Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale DC/POP migration and build projects.
  • Strong engineering background across Transport and/or IP domains.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn unfamiliar technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • A positive, proactive mindset with a collaborative spirit.
